In
all, we can have too many data elements on any given
company, which helps you get a more complete picture
of a business. We are also the only business information
provider that collects financial statements on both
publicly and privately held companies.

Before
we enter any information into our database, it must
first pass a number of quality checks. In fact, there
are currently over 20 validations in our customized
data entry system alone. We then supplement our checks
by mainframe data cleansing processes, like our Duplicate
Report Protection System and Address Standardization.
Once the information is validated, it's entered into
our database, the only database of business information
in Syria. It's then made available to businesses around
the globe. The data can be used as follow: to check
the credit rating of over 20 thousand companies, to
compile highly-targeted lists of prospective customers,
to track competitors' sales, and much more.

You
can view your records, and also, any potential customer
or company that may wish to do business you, can view
your records by purchasing a copy of your credit profile.
The
Syria Credit Bureau (SCB) carefully regulates how
your credit profile reports can be used and by whom.
You have the right to obtain your own reports at a
reasonable price, and before customers or other companies
can access your credit information, they must offer
proof that they will be using the data for no other
purpose than that which is allowed by law.

Your
credit profile report contains only the basic information
listed below: (identifying
information, credit information, public record information,
and inquiries)
Identifying personal information includes:
Inquiries
indicate to other credit grantors that you have applied
for new credit that could result in additional debt.
Potential lenders may view multiple recent inquiries
on your credit report as a sign that you are overextending
yourself.

No.
Your credit profile report does not contain any information
regarding your race, religious preference, medical
history, personal lifestyle, personal background,
political preference or criminal records.

Any
positive information in your credit profile will remain
in your credit profile report indefinitely; however,
if no new or updated information is reported on an
existing item in your credit profile for seven years,
it will be removed. (for example: a closed account
will be removed from your credit profile seven years
after it has been reported closed by the credit grantor).
Most
negative information remains in your credit profile
for up to 7 years. Bankruptcies will remain in your
credit profile for up to 10 years. Other public record
information can remain for up to 7 years. Most inquiries
will stay in your credit profile for up to two years.

All
data collected by Syria Credit Bureau (SCB) must first
pass rigorous quality checks. Our customized data
entry system alone contains over 20 information validations.
To further ensure the accuracy of our information,
we randomly call companies and review the information
we've complied on their businesses with them.
If,
for any reason, you should question the information
received about a company, a group of dedicated consultants
are available to reinvestigate the information at
no charge.

The
Syria Credit Bureau (SCB) Credit Evaluator reports
provide easy-to-read credit information profile on
any of the over 20 thousand companies in the Syria
Credit Bureau (SCB) database.
The
Credit Evaluator shows the potential risk of late
or delinquent payments.
The
Credit Evaluator shows the risk that a company will
pay in a severely delinquent manner (90+ days past
terms) relative to other businesses in the Syria Credit
Bureau (SCB) database. Higher risk (red) indicates
that a company is more likely to pay severely beyond
terms, and lower risk (green) indicates that a company
has a low likelihood of paying in a severely delinquent
manner.
The
evaluation is based on a number of credit factors
determined by the Syria Credit Bureau’s (SCB)
sophisticated analytical tools.
